Fro-groni from Sur La Table

We love this recipe from Sur La Table that is a take on the popular Frosé. It's a take on the classic Negroni and gives it a slushy feel. You can top with Prosecco too for a little more pizzazz. Pick up the ingredients at Edina Liquor just steps away from Lunds & Byerly's at 50th & France.

Fro-groni Recipe via Sur La Table: 

Serves: Makes 2 cocktails

Ingredients:

  • 3 ounces gin
  • 3 ounces Campari
  • 3 ounces sweet vermouth
  • 3 ounces fresh orange juice
  • 2 half wheels of orange, for garnish
  • Prosecco, for topping (optional)

Procedures:

Negronis—a boozy blend of gin, Campari and sweet vermouth—have become one of our favorite classic drinks. But when summer rolls around, the all-alcohol mixture becomes too heavy for the hot days, so we end up concocting a slushy, frozen version. Feeling celebratory? Top your glass with a pour of Prosecco post blending. 

In a blender, combine the gin, Campari, vermouth and orange juice. Fill with ice and blend on high until smooth. 

Pour into frosted rocks glasses, garnish with orange wheels and, if you’d like, a pour of Prosecco. Serve immediately.
