Whether you are new to knitting or you are interested in learning new tricks, Harriet & Alice has the class for you. They offer beginning knitting for all ages and soon will offer Knit-A-Longs as well as how to knit socks or fair isle.
See a full list of classes here! They currently have August classes listed, and if you want to sign up or lean more email firstname.lastname@example.org. In select classes, many of the supplies needed are covered in the cost of the class. These classes are also a great way to socialize and learn a new skill or brush up on your knitting! Some of the classes even surround making specific items.
Harriet and Alice is a new local yarn shop that specializes in high quality fibers for the discerning knitter or crocheter. They have classes for every age and skill level as well as fun parent/grandparent and child classes.
On Thursday evenings they are open until 8 for classes, after work shopping and to host fun events. In addition to the yarn they carry locally made gift items for the special people in your life or for a special gift for yourself. They have everything from bags and candles to jewelry and pottery.
Harriet and Alice are the owner Kate's grandmothers. Two strong women of style who not only were creative they were hardworking feminists. Harriet was a school teacher and principal for her career, she was a weaver and bought her first pair of slacks after her retirement so she could go camping in the national parks. Alice worked in the factories during World War II with her sister and was a stay-at-home mom to 3 amazing girls. She made all of their clothes, was an amazing cook, and specialized in embroidery and Raggedy Anne & Andy dolls.
Stop in soon and check out the fun and beautiful atmosphere. Kate and her mom Jeanne will most likely be there knitting, come and join in on the fun.
